Good morning to my attentive followers. Yes I am late again. I’m hoping not to let it become a habit. Frankly, I just straight up forgot to hit the “post” button this week. I’ve had some other stuff on my mind.
On Saturday I got some new earbuds. My Bose Quiet Comfort 45 II headphones finally broke after like 3 and a half years of faithful, near-24/7 service. I may have been able to fix them with some super glue, but I figured it was time to upgrade anyway. Also, I got tired of people thinking I’m “““autistic””” for having headphones on me all the time. (White boy discrimination — if I was a black guy with Beats, I might get Zimmerman’d, but at least I wouldn’t “look autistic”.") So I got these from the Walmart a town over after looking online. Check out the deal I got. Half off of the original $300 — it was on their clearance rack. I guess nobody in Bumfuck, Illiana is looking for top-of-the-line earbuds.
They sound really good, better than the Bose, actually.
The piece this week is shorter than usual but I’ve provided plenty of extra in the past so I’m taking it easy this time. It’s also so good that I don’t really want to post it all. Sometimes you just have a really good idea. Sometimes you just have good inspiration… This was the first time I’ve ever sat down at an instrument, thought about a woman, and actually come up with something. I’m thinking I’ve entered my Janacekian phase.
